Ipe, Brazilian Hardwood

The most hard wearing and long lasting wood available. This beautiful hard wood has a life span of 75+ years and is impervious to mold and insects, it also carries a class 1-A fire rating the same as steel or concrete. It is very dense and heavy, making it excellent for decking and flooring and, excels in the extreme ranges of climate that Pennsylvania faces. Ipe can be left to fade to a silver color over time or its natural beauty can be preserved with a UV inhibitor.

Mahogany, a Tropical Hardwood

Is a richly colored wood known for its pinkish coloring which develops into a deep reddish-brown, it to can be oiled to preserve its coloring. It has very few knots and has an even grain giving it a smooth finish. It is not as dense or as heavy as Ipe, but still has a life expectancy of about 30 years.

Composite Material and Vinyl Railings

A low maintenance product that offers a wide range of colors and design possibilities. Timbertech and Trex are the two leaders in composite decking and are comparably priced; they also guarantee their products for up to 25 years. Vinyl railings allow a high contrast or color matched finish to the design, with addition of differing balusters, post caps and lighting packages.

Lighting

Cutting Edge Decks' offers LED deck lighting systems, so you can enjoy your deck time even when the sun goes down. This lighting system lets homeowners and their guests enjoy their deck in style long into the evening with its enjoyable, subtle glow. Cutting Edge Decks LED lighting lends a sense of added safety by illuminating steps and installs easily with railings.

Post Cap Light Module

This light generates a subtle, inviting glow around any Rail or Post Caps. Post Caps sold separately.

Riser Light

Deck lighting that gives off soft illumination for added safety on stairs. 

Accent Light

A deck light designed to produce a delicate down-light effect on Posts or between Balusters. Typically used at transition posts or near stairs for additional night time visibility. Available in Architectural Bronze and White.

Under-Rail Light

Produces a subtle down-light glow in between balusters. Light fixture hides in underside of the top rail.

In-Deck Light

Mounts to the deck surface to produce an ambient glow on the deck surface.

DrySpace Drainage System

Ideal for second-story decks, DrySpace under deck drainage system collects and channels moisture from the spaces between your planks. Attaching easily to your new or existing deck joists, DrySpace effectively turns lower level patios into extra leisure and storage space – creating a usable dry space under your deck.
